POSITION: Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach
COMPENSATION: Compensation to be paid per BEA Contract β Schedule C
DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Reports to the Athletic Director

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of coaching volleyball
- Teacher certification is preferred
- Previous record of positive coaching and competitive experiences in the sport is preferred
- Coaching experience preferred
- CPR certification and first aid training are required
- Knowledge of strength and conditioning
- Quality communication skills
- Must be actively employed by EDUStaff if not current District Employee
- MHSAA CAP training required
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct practice sessions focusing on skill development, strategy, and team building.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of student-athletes for the JV team.
- Instruct players on proper techniques, game strategies, and safety protocols.
- Support the Head Volleyball Coach in implementing the programβs philosophy, goals, and expectations.
- Manage team logistics, including scheduling practices, coordinating travel, and maintaining equipment.
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and motivating team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, respect, and academic excellence.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration regarding schedules, expectations, and team matters.
- Supervise student-athletes during all team activities, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
- Adhere to school and athletic department policies, as well as league and state regulations.
- Support athletes in their academic and personal growth by reinforcing positive values and discipline.
- Collaborate with other coaches, trainers, and support staff to optimize player performance and well-being.
