We are seeking a dedicated and reliable custodian to join our team at District. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the facility, ensuring a welcoming environment for all staff and visitors. This full-time position requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing all areas of the facility.
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms, ensuring adequate supplies of soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness of common areas, including hallways, break rooms, and entryways.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects, such as floor waxing, carpet cleaning, and window washing.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Follow established safety protocols and procedures while performing cleaning tasks.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management when reordering is necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
