KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish strong, long-term client relationships with key stakeholders at named accounts (e.g. architects, installers, end users, consultants).
  • Plan and arrange visits to clients to adequately cover the current and future specification sales opportunities within the sales territory.
  • Present the company's lighting expertise and products to architects, specifiers, end users, and contractors, outlining features and benefits to achieve maximum sales volume and margin.
  • Develop close working relationships with key influencers within the specification sales channel to raise the profile of the Sylvania & Concord brand.
  • Promote the company image to the marketplace, ensuring its position as a quality organisation in terms of client service and product integrity.
  • Develop company and product awareness within the customer base, growing specification brand opportunities.
  • Manage projects from inception to completion to ensure maximum benefits to the company with minimum disruption.
  • Gather market intelligence including competitor analysis, product innovation, and pricing, and communicate this information to the UK Commercial Director monthly.
  • Ensure credible and reliable forecasting input in conjunction with regional leadership teams.
  • Deal effectively with client administration issues and quotations to expedite specified orders.
  • Handle after sales issues in conjunction with the Commercial and After Sales quality team to ensure excellence in customer service.
  • Complete all internal administration reports accurately and on time to ensure continued improvement in selling efficiency.

PERSON SPECIFICATION AND BACKGROUND

  • Proven track record of achievement covering sales territory within the Lighting / Electrical industry.
  • Able to demonstrate core competencies: Sales Account Management, Negotiation, Presentation, Results Driven, Decisiveness.
  • Entrepreneurial skills to seek new business opportunities.
  • Ability to build effective relationships in a cross-functional work environment.
  • Proactive self-starter with strong self-motivation.
  • Good level of English language (spoken and written).
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Full UK Driving licence.
  • Willingness to extensively travel in the UK.
