About the Role:
We’re looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Laundry Operative to join our Lakelovers Ambleside team. You’ll be key to keeping our laundry and housekeeping running like clockwork, making sure every property is guest‑ready. You’ll work closely with our cleaners, resolving laundry and housekeeping issues over the phone and face‑to‑face.
You’ll need to multitask, stay organised, and collaborate effectively to help maintain our high standards. This is a flexible role suitable for both full‑time and part‑time applicants.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage day-to-day laundry operations and liaise with suppliers
- Count and check freshly laundered linen; record shortfalls or rejects
- Deliver clean linen using fleet vehicles when required
- Conduct property inspections, corrective cleaning, and special requests
- Prepare linen for weekly departures and maintain stock levels
- Manage soiled linen, keeping the area tidy before collection by suppliers
- Provide practical feedback to support departmental performance
- Promote excellent customer service to guests and owners
- Undertake any additional duties within the scope of the role as requested
