About the Role: We’re looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our Lakelovers Ambleside team. You’ll be key to keeping our laundry and housekeeping running like clockwork, making sure every property is guest-ready. You’ll work closely with our cleaners, resolving laundry and housekeeping issues over the phone and face-to-face. You’ll need to multitask, stay organised, and collaborate effectively to help maintain our high standards. This is a flexible role suitable for both full-time and part-time applicants.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage day-to-day laundry operations and liaise with suppliers
- Count and check freshly laundered linen; record shortfalls or rejects
- Deliver clean linen using fleet vehicles when required
- Conduct property inspections, corrective cleaning, and special requests
- Prepare linen for weekly departures and maintain stock levels
- Manage soiled linen, keeping the area tidy before collection by suppliers
- Provide practical feedback to support departmental performance
- Promote excellent customer service to guests and owners
- Undertake any additional duties within the scope of the role as requested
