The HR Operations Adviser provides operational HR support across multiple countries within the EMEA region, ensuring compliance with local employment laws, delivering consistent HR processes, and supporting employee lifecycle activities. This role acts as a key point of contact for managers and employees on HR operational matters.

As the HR Operations Adviser, you will ensure the consistent application of HR policies across multiple jurisdictions while maintaining compliance with local employment legislation and company standards. This role requires a strong understanding of regional employment practices and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments to safeguard organisational integrity.

In addition, you will provide operational support to managers and employees, addressing HR queries promptly and effectively. By driving efficiency and accuracy in HR processes and systems, you will help optimise workflows, enhance employee experience, and contribute to the overall success of HR Operations across EMEA.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Employee Lifecycle Management
  • Manage onboarding, probation, and offboarding processes for employees.
  • Ensure timely updates in HRIS for starters, leavers, and internal moves.
  • Coordinate employment contracts and documentation across countries.
  • Monitor probation reviews and elevate issues to the HR Business Partner.
  • Support relocation and international assignment processes.
  • Compliance & Policy
    • Ensure adherence to local labour laws and company HR policies.
    • Maintain GDPR compliance in all HR data handling.
    • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
    • Keep HR policies updated and communicate changes effectively.
  • HR Operations
    • Maintain accurate HR data and produce accurate monthly HR reports.
    • Liaise with Finance and external payroll providers to ensure correct and timely processing.
    • Administer benefits programmes and resolve employee queries.
    • Support HR system upgrades and process improvements.
    • Monitor HR metrics (e.g., turnover, absence) and provide insights.
  • Employee Relations
    • Write employee probation letters – failed, extension, passed.
    • Act as first point of contact for employee queries on HR matters.
    • Escalate complex ER cases to the HR Business Partner promptly.
    • Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
    • In collaboration with the HRBP assist in supporting management with managing performance improvement plans.
  • Projects and Continues Improvement
    • Contribute to HR initiatives (e.g., engagement surveys, wellbeing).
    • Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
    • Support HR transformation projects and system rollouts.
    • Participate in cross-functional projects impacting HR operations.

    Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

    • Previous experience in a HR administration role.
    • Experience in multi-country HR operations within a matrix organisation.
    • Strong organisational and time management skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with ATS or recruitment systems (preferred).
    • High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
    • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent HR qualification preferred.
