Commissioning Manager – Energy from Waste
As a Commissioning Manager you play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of commissioning activities within the construction project, from planning and execution to quality assurance and client satisfaction. Your technical expertise and strategic vision are essential for delivering high‑quality outcomes that meet project objectives and exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning – Support the lead commissioning manager in developing a comprehensive strategic commissioning playbook and schedules for the project. Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and manage a roadmap for commissioning execution.
- Team Leadership and Management – Guide, mentor, and coordinate stakeholders to ensure effective performance. Drive tasks, monitor progress and resolve issues throughout the commissioning process.
- Resource Allocation – Work with the lead commissioning manager to ensure the project team has the appropriate personnel, equipment and materials. Manage your own time and the execution of the provided scope.
- Quality Assurance – Implement robust QA processes to ensure all commissioning activities and gateways meet client expectations, contractual obligations, specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements. Oversee and witness tests, inspections and verifications.
- Risk Management – Identify and track potential risks that may impact commissioning and develop mitigation strategies.
- Health & Safety Compliance – Follow Sygna’s Health & Safety systems and local project requirements. Maintain relevant records to meet regulatory standards and company policies.
- Client Communication – Interact with clients during the project lifecycle, providing updates, addressing concerns and ensuring the lead commissioning manager receives commissioning outcomes.
- Technical Expertise – Apply knowledge of commissioning methodologies and engineering to troubleshoot complex issues, resolve conflicts and optimise system performance from design to post‑handover.
- Documentation and Reporting – Track all commissioning activities and maintain comprehensive documentation, test procedures, reports and compliance records to provide a clear audit trail.
