Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Installation Engineer to join our team covering Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.

Role Overview:

The Fire Alarm Installation Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning and handover of fire detection and alarm systems across a range of commercial, industrial and public sector sites. You will ensure all installations are completed to the highest standards, in line with project specifications and relevant British Standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install fire alarm systems in accordance with design specifications and current standards
  • Commission and test newly installed fire alarm systems
  • Complete system handovers and client demonstrations
  • Diagnose and rectify installation faults during commissioning
  • Work closely with project managers, supervisors and other site trades
  • Complete installation documentation and commissioning certificates accurately
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant British Standards and Health & Safety regulations
  • Maintain a professional standard of workmanship and site conduct

Systems You May Work On:

  • Fire detection and alarm systems
  • Conventional fire alarm systems
  • Emergency lighting (if applicable)

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience installing fire alarm systems
  • Experience with first fix, second fix and commissioning of fire alarm systems
  • Strong understanding of fire alarm wiring, containment and device installation
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications
  • Good IT skills for digital commissioning and documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable Qualifications:

  • FIA or equivalent fire alarm training
  • ECS / CSCS card
  • IPAF or PASMA
  • Experience with manufacturers such as Gent, Advanced, Kentec, Morley, C‑Tec or similar
