The successful candidate should ideally be ten years PQE. This level of experience has been given as an approximate guide for applicants but we are happy to consider the applications of candidates who fall outside of this level but who have the relevant knowledge/experience, together with the enthusiasm for this particular role.

The role is full time and based either in our Birmingham City Centre or Shirley office. Flexible and hybrid working options can be considered.

The ideal candidate:

  • A contentious probate solicitor with ten years plus PQE.
  • Have excellent client care and interpersonal skills.
  • May have contacts in the local market and some following of work.
  • A confident communicator who is comfortable undertaking business development activity/networking.
  • Ideally, you will be ACTAPS qualified but this is not essential.
  • Skills in using Word, Excel, PDF docs (or similar) and a case management system.
  • Working as part of a team and under pressure.
  • Building on the excellent reputation already established and helping to develop their offering.
  • Taking an active part in firm wide business development.
  • Providing an excellent standard of client care and being able to manage client expectations.
  • The role involves significant client contact and therefore someone with strong communication and client care skills is a must.
  • You should be able to work under supervision, meet tight deadlines and as part of the dispute resolution team.
