We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join a global software house and specialise in selling into the telco industry. In the role, you will be engaged in pre-sales and account management, market screening and business development. You might already be an experienced Business Development Manager passionate about telco, or somebody who currently has a more technical role but is ready for a new challenge.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Degree in business, telecommunications, or technical studies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
  • An in-depth understanding of the UK telecommunication landscape
  • 2 – 4 years of proven experience of working in telecommunications sector
  • Good knowledge of marketing, CRM and sales processes of telecommunications software
  • Ability to analyse customer requirements and functional needs
  • Excellent soft, interpersonal and negotiation skills

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and source a strong pipeline of prospective clients and qualified leads
  • Meet or exceed sales and profit goals
  • Co-create and execute a sales strategy for allocated product range and region
  • Facilitate pre-sales process for new leads, including first contact, discovery phase, meetings and contract negotiation
  • Lead and coordinate proposal preparations in cooperation with other departments within the company
  • Actively manage existing customer accounts, address key objectives and strategy, concerns and escalations, overall status and new sales opportunities
  • Deliver in-person sales presentations with prospective and existing customers
  • Research and stay updated with telecommunication industry trends and insights
  • Attend and actively participate in conferences and industry events
