Location: A discreet, Georgian townhouse located just off the King's Road, Sydney House Chelsea is understated but contemporary in style. It gives our team the chance to work in one of the most popular and vibrant areas of London, just a couple of minutes' walk from South Kensington tube station.

Service Charge: We pay our team service charge each month! This service charge all goes into one pot, and 100% of that service charge is then shared amongst all the team at the hotel — every penny received is paid out to the team.

As a Housekeeping Supervisor you will maintain all front of house areas and guest bedrooms gleaming, ready to welcome our wonderful guests. Sydney House Hotel Chelsea is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Room Attendant to support the daily operation of the housekeeping department. The successful candidate will help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction throughout the hotel. This role would suit a candidate with cleaning experience in hospitality or a similar field at a very high standard. Please note that this is a hands‑on role and the expectation of the Room Attendant would be to clean rooms on a daily basis. Being able to clean up to 12 rooms, at a high standard, would be expected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are met
  • Ensure all hotel windows have been cleaned to Hotel's standard
  • Carry out daily tasks and room assignments efficiently
  • Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies - Restock Cupboards when necessary
  • Report maintenance issues promptly to the relevant department
  • Ensure health, safety, and hygiene procedures are followed at all times
  • Maintain excellent communication with Reception and Management teams
  • Help deliver an exceptional guest experience through high cleaning standards and attention to detail

Requirements:

  • Previous housekeeping experience within a hotel environment or similar
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Right to work in the UK
