This Assistant English Coordinator position will attract a dynamic and creative educator who has a passion for innovative leadership. You will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. The position is a 1-point promotional role, attracting a 1 point time and remuneration allocation.

You will bring:

  • expertise in English with the ability to teach English Standard
  • the ability to teach English Advanced and English Extension 1 is desirable
  • strong classroom management and student well-being focus
  • ability to create inclusive, rigorous learning experiences
  • capacity to provide active leadership, with the English Coordinator, to excellence in differentiated pedagogy, assessment and classroom practices
  • an understanding of and ability to effectively enhance student achievement and performance which is informed by evidence-based approaches and the skilled use of data
  • ability to facilitate staff professional development for best practice teaching skills and content knowledge
  • developing, evaluating and revising faculty policies and practices which comply with College, Sydney Catholic Schools and NESA legislative requirements and guidelines
  • sound leadership to and administration of the faculty in a way that is credible and consistent
  • a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation
