Your Mission: Our Fraud and Consumer Safety team protects NALA and its customers from fraud and general abuse. This includes building new tools for fraud prevention, detection, and mitigation. If you enjoy building features to protect our customers and our company against attacks and scams, then this is the role for you.
Your Responsibilities in this Role:
- Bring a sense of urgency to your work and inspire the team to unite under your leadership to deliver an incredible product.
- Take ownership of the consumer product to drive the product and business-planning process across cross-functional teams of the company.
- Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for products, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch.
- Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates NALA and its features across primary market segments.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, research, legal, and compliance teams to refine your plan and execute it effectively.
- Speak to customers on a near-daily basis to understand needs and uphold our ethos of “customer first, always.”
- Develop an understanding of our users at a deep level and gauge customer needs to propose prospective solutions.
- Define initial product proposition and go-to-market strategies for new expansion markets.
- Meet with the C-suite to discuss financial data and ways to improve business operations.
Must-have requirements:
- Strong technical background due to the strong technical nature of the products being built.
- Proven experience shipping a breadth of high-quality consumer product features at a Fintech or Payments company.
- 5+ years of product management experience shipping world-class products at fast-growing companies with demonstrable engagement with Design, Engineering, and Leadership teams.
- Fluency in SQL and strong software engineering experience to interrogate product data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to distinguish between a bad MVP and a good one, with experience in product discovery methodologies.
- Strong empathy for customers and an unwillingness to compromise on user-centered design.
- Experience working with third parties, evaluating APIs and capabilities, mapping out integration plans, or evaluating different technology options.
Nice to have requirements:
- Understanding of customer needs from a UK, African, and Asian perspective.
- Ability to speak French or Swahili in addition to English.
