We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of digital and technology initiatives, including product development and innovation-focused programmes.
The role will involve managing end-to-end project delivery across IT and business functions, with exposure to R&D environments.
Experience within Operational Technology (OT) networks and cyber security environments is desirable.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT and digital projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets
- Manage the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to delivery and transition to support
- Drive product development initiatives, working closely with technical teams, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver customer-centered solutions
- Support R&D and innovation projects
- Engage and manage stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout delivery
- Coordinate cross-functional teams
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and governance processes effectively
- Ensure adherence to project delivery frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) and organisational standards
- Monitor and report on project progress, performance, and financials
- Proven experience delivering IT projects within complex environments (ideally within regulated industries such as energy, utilities, or infrastructure)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong planning, risk management, and reporting capability.
- Experience working within utilities, energy, regulated, or critical national infrastructure environments.
- Comfortable running projects in fluid and evolving environments
- Experienced working with multiple suppliers and integrators
- Pragmatic, delivery-focused and able to bring structure where needed
- Ability to adapt and tailor delivery approaches to optimise project outcomes
- Strong understanding of risk and issue management, including development of mitigation and contingency plans
- Experience supporting or working within R&D or innovation-focused initiatives
- Track record of managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with project governance, reporting, and financial management
- Experience in OT networks & cyber is desirable
