Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including client services contracts (MSAs, SOWs, SLAs), vendor agreements, and non-disclosure agreements
  • Provide clear, business-focused advice on UK and EU contract law and commercial best practices
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of contract templates, playbooks, and legal processes
  • Collaborate with operational, commercial, clinical and leadership teams to provide high quality, commercially-focused and pragmatic legal advice on a wide range of topics
  • Advise generally on legal and regulatory requirements relevant to our business and services in the UK and EU, including GDPR, AI, advertising and marketing standards, and technology-related regulations

Qualifications

  • Qualified solicitor or barrister in England & Wales with 5–10 years’ post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house legal role preferred. Applicants qualified only in EU jurisdictions may be considered with compelling UK commercial experience.
  • Strong experience negotiating and drafting software/SaaS commercial contracts, license agreements, services agreements, technology agreements, vendor contracts, and other types of commercial agreements, especially with respect to the healthcare and health tech space
  • Solid experience providing in-house legal advice in a fast-paced start up or scale up environment
  • Ability to provide pragmatic, commercially minded solutions to legal issues
  • Excellent drafting skills, attention to detail, and analytical capabilities
  • A proactive, collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced and rapidly-evolving start up environment
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional European languages are a plus
  • Proficiency in data security, data privacy and AI regulations are a plus
  • Experience in the healthcare or health tech space is a plus.
