About The Role
As the Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Specialist, you will play a key hands‑on role in shaping how digital information is structured, governed and maintained across modern Microsoft 365 environments. You will take ownership of the day‑to‑day administration, optimisation, and continuous improvement of SharePoint Online and related Microsoft 365 services. This role blends technical configuration with practical information management — ensuring environments are secure, well‑organised, compliant, and easy for people to use.
As The Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Specialist, You Will:
- Administer and maintain SharePoint Online environments, including site collections, libraries, lists, workflows and permissions.
- Plan and deliver data migrations into Microsoft 365 using industry‑standard tooling such as ShareGate.
- Develop PowerShell automation to streamline administration and improve performance.
- Design and implement metadata models, taxonomies and content types to improve classification and searchability.
- Apply and maintain governance rules covering document lifecycle, permissions, retention, archiving and disposal.
- Support data integrity, security and accessibility across structured and unstructured information repositories.
- Carry out audits, monitoring and routine checks to ensure ongoing compliance and system reliability.
- Enhance enterprise search through effective tagging and content indexing.
- Work closely with business teams to deliver practical SharePoint solutions that support collaboration and document control.
- Provide user guidance, training and support on SharePoint features and information management best practice.
- Support integrations between SharePoint, Microsoft 365 services and reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Contribute to digital transformation and automation initiatives that reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.

Requirements
We're looking for a practical, detail‑oriented Microsoft 365 professional who enjoys taking ownership of platform administration and information management delivery.
You’ll Bring Many Of The Following:
- Hands‑on experience administering SharePoint Online within Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience using ShareGate to plan and execute migrations.
- PowerShell skills for automation and environment optimisation.
- Understanding of Microsoft Purview, including DLP, sensitivity labels and records management.
- Familiarity with Power Automate and Power BI.
- Experience managing document lifecycle processes including classification, retention and archiving.
- Practical knowledge of information architecture, metadata design and taxonomies.
- Understanding of information governance principles and recognised standards.
- Confident communication skills and the ability to work closely with business users and technical teams.
- A structured, ownership‑driven mindset with strong attention to detail.
