Combining a high level of technical expertise with hands‑on delivery and regular client interaction, this role offers the opportunity to work on complex OT Network Integration projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply in-depth networking knowledge across TCP/IP, Modbus, VLANs, routing and switching.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation and diagrams, including design specifications, test plans and commissioning documentation.
  • Install, configure and support a variety of hardware, including PCs, laptops, servers, and industrial or enterprise network switches.
  • Work across Windows environments, particularly Server 2022 and Windows 10, with working knowledge of Linux systems and system hardening aligned to industry standards.
  • Act as an on‑site point of contact within a small delivery team, supporting troubleshooting and vendor integration activities.
  • Work closely with clients, influencing decisions, guiding solutions and maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Collaborate with design authorities and wider project teams while working within defined technical and delivery constraints.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching).
  • Experience with firewall and switch configuration, including industrial products.
  • Ability to produce accurate documentation and diagrams.
  • Knowledge of OT/ICS environments and industrial networking.
  • Certification in networking (e.g. CCNA, CCNP).
  • Experience with network design for critical infrastructure projects.
  • Experience of network device hardening in accordance with industry best practices and standards.
  • Experience of being the Point of Contact for workstream, working on site, with small dedicated team (1 technical staff), supporting troubleshooting of vendor network integration.
  • Experience working within Engineering, Construction, Network Integration and Cyber Security Projects.
  • Ability to liaise with design authority regarding issues, solutions within appropriate design restrictions.
