Job Description
Mergers & Acquisitions Project Manager
City of London | Full-time | £45,000 – £50,000 pa
We’re working with a fast-growing, ambitious, private equity backed business who are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their M&A team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a role where you’ll have ownership, visibility, and direct impact on the company’s growth.
The Role
As Project Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind multiple acquisitions running simultaneously across the UK. You’ll coordinate timelines, lead weekly calls with key stakeholders, manage risk, and ensure smooth delivery throughout the full 12-week M&A process. From due diligence through to post-completion, you’ll be hands-on, organised, and always one step ahead.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and tracking multiple projects at once, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met
- Building and maintaining detailed project timelines (using Monday.com)
- Identifying and mitigating risks across legal, finance and client workstreams
- Running improvement sessions with senior stakeholders to refine processes
- Supporting the full due diligence process, managing Q&A, and preparing documentation
- Coordinating project handovers and ensuring seamless client support post-completion
- Driving process improvements across reporting, documentation, and data management
What We’re Looking For
We want someone proactive, decisive, and confident in front of senior stakeholders. You’ll have the independence to make decisions and the experience to anticipate risks before they arise. You may come from a Project Management or M&A background, but what matters most is your ability to lead complex projects with structure, clarity and confidence.
- Proven experience in project management (ideally in acquisitions, M&A, or professional services)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proficiency with Monday.com, Excel and PowerPoint
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and solutions-driven
- Comfortable with occasional late finishes to support project completions
- A collaborative, sociable personality – team culture matters here
Why Apply?
This isn’t a box-ticking PM role – it’s a chance to shape processes, drive efficiency, and be central to the success of high-value, complex projects. You’ll be joining a supportive, ambitious team that values initiative and enjoys celebrating wins together.
If you’re looking for a role where your input truly makes a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
