We’re working exclusively with a high‑performing property business that supports homeowners across the UK with swift, efficient residential sales. Due to continued growth, they’re seeking a Conveyancing Executive to join their Transactions team — someone who thrives in a busy environment, loves getting files over the line, and wants to be part of a mission‑driven organisation making a real impact.
The Role
As a Conveyancing Executive, you’ll act for both sellers and buyers on a wide range of residential transactions, operating under the supervision and credentials of an external partnered law firm. You’ll manage files from instruction through to post‑completion, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent client care at every stage. This is a brilliant role for someone who is organised, diligent, and confident in managing multiple deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Open and manage new matters, ensuring accurate records in the case management system
- Complete KYC/AML and conflict checks
- Issue client care documentation and collect initial information
- Handle all stages of residential conveyancing: sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity
- Draft and review core legal documents including contracts, TR1s, mortgage deeds and requisitions
- Order and review searches; summarise titles and flag risks
- Liaise with agents, surveyors, lenders, solicitors and clients
- Raise/respond to enquiries and track key milestones
- Prepare files for exchange and manage signing requirements
- Draft completion statements and coordinate funds
- Manage completion coordination and post‑completion tasks including SDLT, Land Registry applications (AP1), requisitions and file closure
- Ensure full compliance with SRA, AML, GDPR and Accounts Rules
- Keep file notes accurate and up to date
- Work closely with internal teams to meet transaction timelines
- Contribute to process improvement and best practice
Skills & Experience
- Strong background in residential conveyancing (leasehold & freehold)
- Solid understanding of UK sale and purchase processes
- Confident drafting legal documents and handling enquiries
- Experience with searches, titles, SDLT and Land Registry processes
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple files in a time‑pressured setting
- High attention to detail and risk awareness
- Comfortable using case management systems and Microsoft Office
- Experience with unregistered titles
- Knowledge of new build or shared ownership
- Exposure to high‑volume conveyancing environments
