Are you a compliance professional with legal sector experience, looking for a part-time opportunity where your expertise can truly make an impact?
We’re working on behalf of a well-regarded, forward-thinking law firm to recruit a Compliance Manager who will lead on all aspects of regulatory, risk, and data protection compliance across the practice.
This is a part-time role (2 or 3 days per week) offering flexibility and autonomy – perfect for a seasoned legal professional who thrives on making processes stronger, guiding teams with clarity, and proactively staying ahead of regulatory change.
What you’ll be doing:
- Act as the firm’s key compliance advisor, guiding teams on risk, data protection, AML, and regulatory best practice
- Keep compliance policies and procedures up to date, relevant, and well communicated
- Deliver engaging and practical training on data protection and anti-money laundering
- Respond to data subject requests, oversee breach reporting, and liaise with the ICO where necessary
- Lead compliance audits, analyse risks, and make strategic recommendations for improvement
- Monitor emerging legislation and ensure the firm is ahead of regulatory developments
- Champion a culture of compliance and support colleagues through change and growth
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 3 years PQE as a Solicitor, with in-depth experience in compliance, risk, or regulation within the legal sector
- Knowledgeable on COLP, COFA, AML, and data protection legislation
- Proven ability to develop and deliver compliance training
- Confident in leading audits, drafting policies, and managing regulatory updates
- A self-starter who can work independently with discretion, insight, and a collaborative spirit
