We are looking for an experienced and motivated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our clinical team. The successful candidate will support the practice in delivering high-quality care to patients through clinical and health screening tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Phlebotomy (blood taking)
  • Blood pressure checks and monitoring
  • Electrocardiograms (ECG)
  • Spirometry testing
  • NHS Health Checks and general health screening
  • Urine dipstick analysis and sample handling
  • Supporting clinical staff with patient care
  • Completion of the Care Certificate

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience working as an HCA in a GP surgery or clinical setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Reliable, compassionate, and patient‑centred
  • Experience using EMIS Web and Docman systems
  • Up-to-date training in infection control, basic life support, and safeguarding
