We'd love to hear from you. Our Community Hub in Nottingham is exactly that – a centre for the local community. We have multiple activities taking place throughout the week, including a boxing school, but we are much more than just a boxing gym. We build champions in and out of the ring by supporting all our members to reach their true potential. We change lives.
Switch Up provides valuable, life-changing interventions for vulnerable young people. Many of the young people we support through Switch Up also attend our community hub and gym. Our club is affiliated with England Boxing, so maintaining high standards of professionalism, customer service and safeguarding is essential.
We are looking for a friendly, organised and reliable individual to join our Front of House team, supporting our delivery staff and helping to create a welcoming, safe and professional environment for everyone who uses our services. Experience working in a front of house, reception or customer service role is essential. An interest in sport or boxing would be an advantage.
You must be able to work on your own initiative, be self-motivated, have excellent attention to detail and be able to prioritise your workload effectively.
Hours
This is a Saturday-only position, working 11:30am to 2:00pm each week. There is potential for additional hours in the future to provide cover, support events, or meet the growing needs of the organisation. The successful candidate must be available to attend a paid onboarding and training programme, which will take place over a couple of days before starting in the role. The length of training will depend on how quickly the successful candidate becomes confident with our systems, processes and ways of working.
If you are looking for a part-time role around other commitments, please let us know your availability and the number of hours you are seeking when you apply. You may occasionally be required to work at our Mansfield site, so the ability to travel between Nottingham and Mansfield is desirable.
