Role Overview: Architect and maintain containerised IoT energy management infrastructure. Design Python microservices while managing external production Kubernetes clusters and self-hosted dev environments. Ensure high availability for mission-critical smart meter services supporting thousands of active deployments with MQTT messaging and device communication systems.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Experience: 3+ years each of professional Python development and production Kubernetes cluster administration
- Core Skills:
- Kubernetes cluster administration and troubleshooting
- Python microservices and web API development
- AWS services (EC2, EKS, IoT Core, Dynamo)
- Docker containerization and CI/CD pipelines
- Linux system administration and distributed systems debugging
- Desirable:
- Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS)
- Multi-cluster and hybrid cloud architectures
- MQTT protocol and message brokers
- High-availability and disaster recovery experience
