OVERVIEW
Switch is on the lookout for a Freelance 2D Designer to work with one of the most recognised brands in car rental. You'll work with an established in-house creative team, across a broad portfolio of international brands where your work will be seen by millions. You're a designer with an eye for the details others miss. You're as comfortable owning a project solo as you are working with a team, and you know how to take a brand's DNA and turn it into something that captures attention - whether that's a social post, a brochure, or a full campaign. You'll report directly to the Creative Director and hit the ground running in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that rewards people who bring flair, precision and proactivity to everything they make.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interpret and apply brand guidelines across multiple brands, ensuring visual consistency and quality across all outputs.
- Concept and produce innovative layouts, logos and visual treatments for digital display media, brochures, websites, digital advertising and out-of-home campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director and wider marketing team from brief through to final artwork.
- Proactively generate design solutions that meet creative and commercial objectives.
- Maintain high standards of typography, colour, photography selection & iconography across all work.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
- Conduct thorough quality checks with meticulous attention to detail prior to sign-off.
- Stay current with design trends and tools, bringing fresh thinking to the team.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 2–5 years' professional experience in a 2D design role, ideally within a marketing or creative agency environment.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite - specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
- Demonstrable ability to work across both digital and print media.
- A sharp eye for typography, colour palettes, imagery and layout composition.
- Experience working with brand guidelines and multi-brand portfolios.
- Ability to manage your own workload, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines.
- A portfolio showcasing a range of creative work across digital and print channels.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Familiarity with Canva Studio.
- Exposure to motion graphics or video editing would be a plus.
- Firefly for AI-assisted image generation a plus.
