OVERVIEW

At Switch Creative, we’re looking for a Midweight Copywriter to work directly with one of the most recognisable names in car rental. This isn't a traditional agency brief; it's a chance to get under the skin of a global brand, shaping the words that reach millions of customers across campaigns, channels and countries.

You're a writer who thrives on variety. One morning, you're nailing a six-word headline, the next you're crafting a 200-word brochure page that actually makes people want to read it. You know how to shift tone without losing your instinct, and you understand that great copy isn't just well-written; it works.

You'll collaborate closely with designers, adapt your voice across a range of international brand identities, and report directly into the Creative Director. Your ideas won't disappear into a briefing document; they'll see the light of day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write short-form and long-form copy across: display advertising, video scripts, websites, brochures and billboard campaigns.
  • Interpret and apply differing tones of voice for a portfolio of international brands.
  • Produce persuasive, audience-specific content for both B2C and B2B audiences.
  • Collaborate with designers and the Creative Director to develop integrated creative concepts.
  • Work across multiple projects simultaneously, delivering accurate, polished copy to agreed deadlines.
  • Contribute ideas and copy concepts at the briefing stage, helping shape campaigns from the outset.
  • Proofread and self-edit all copy rigorously, ensuring it is error-free and on-brand before submission.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, audience behaviour and competitive messaging.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 2–5 years of professional copywriting experience, ideally within a creative agency or in-house marketing team.
  • Demonstrated versatility across short-form and long-form copy formats.
  • Experience adapting tone of voice across multiple brands or product lines.
  • Strong understanding of writing for social media, video, digital and print channels.
  • Ability to write persuasively for both consumer and business audiences.
  • Excellent grammar and editing skills with a meticulous eye for detail.
  • A portfolio demonstrating range, creativity and commercial copywriting ability.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Experience writing for international markets or global brands.
  • Experience working alongside designers in an integrated creative team.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and writing for organic search.
