JOB PURPOSE
As a Store Operative within the Thurrock Service Centre , you will be responsible for the effective control, organisation and distribution of parts and stock required to support the Service Centre engineering and workshop operations.
Working closely with the Service Centre Manager and the team , you will ensure engineers have the correct parts and materials available when required, while maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring the stores operation runs efficiently.
You will be responsible for receiving, checking, storing and issuing parts against job requirements, maintaining stock accuracy and monitoring stock levels to ensure the Service Centre has the parts required to minimise vehicle downtime.
As a key member of the Service Centre team, you will be expected to support all aspects of the stores operation, including stock control, parts ordering, goods-in, parts allocation, returns and regular stock checks. You will ensure all activities are completed to the required quality, safety and housekeeping standards.
