What You'll Be Doing
You'll identify and secure residential properties that meet local authority demand. Working with landlords, developers, and agents, you'll build a pipeline of accommodation across target locations.
Your key responsibilities:
- Source suitable residential properties, HMOs, and apartment blocks for local authority accommodation
- Build relationships with private landlords, developers, investors, and estate agents
- Negotiate commercial terms and prepare property recommendations
- Research local markets and monitor property portals for opportunities
- Attend networking events and represent the company at industry forums
- Manage Salesforce pipeline with accurate updates following all interactions
- Support onboarding processes for newly acquired accommodation
Success Metrics
- Minimum 4 new qualified property leads per week
- Minimum 1 property confirmation per week
- Achievement of agreed property sourcing targets
- Successful conversion of opportunities into signed management agreements
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience within property sourcing, lettings, estate agency, housing, acquisitions or landlord engagement with preexisting relationships in place
- Strong knowledge of the UK residential property market
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Strong negotiation and influencing abilities
- Ability to identify, assess and progress property opportunities
- Strong organisational and administration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
- Good IT skills, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail
Desirable:
- Knowledge of temporary accommodation, supported housing, social housing or exempt accommodation sectors
- Understanding of HMO licensing and residential compliance requirements
- Experience working with local authority housing contracts
- Experience working with landlords, developers, investors or accommodation providers
- Existing network within the property or housing sector
- Experience negotiating lease agreements or management agreements
