- What you'll be doing
As General Guest Support Supervisor, you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of the Guest Support team, ensuring consistently high service standards, operational excellence, and an outstanding resident experience.
You'll lead from the front, supporting your team while collaborating with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure the building operates smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and support the General Guest Support team during each shift.
- Coach team members to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain brand standards.
- Allocate daily duties and ensure workloads are completed effectively.
- Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Lead by example, promoting professionalism, teamwork, and accountability.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new team members where required.
- Resident Experience
- Deliver professional and welcoming service to all residents and visitors.
- Build positive relationships with residents, recognising individuals by name where possible.
- Take ownership of resident enquiries, requests, and complaints, resolving issues promptly or escalating when appropriate.
- Ensure every resident interaction reflects Switch's service values.
- Monitor resident satisfaction and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience.
- Operational Excellence
- Oversee the presentation, cleanliness, and safety of all public areas and resident spaces.
- Coordinate daily room readiness with Housekeeping to ensure accommodation is available on time.
- Conduct regular building walks, safety patrols, and quality inspections.
- Monitor heating, lighting, and communal facilities to ensure resident comfort.
- Complete routine audits and ensure all operational standards are consistently maintained.
- Maintenance & Compliance
- Report and monitor maintenance issues through the appropriate systems until resolved.
- Carry out basic maintenance tasks where appropriate.
- Complete health and safety inspections, compliance checks, and risk assessments.
- Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, COSHH, Fire Safety, GDPR, and company policies.
- Safeguard resident belongings and oversee lost property procedures.
- Administration & Communication
- Maintain accurate daily handover reports and operational records.
- Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor recurring issues and identify opportunities to improve processes.
- Support the management team with operational reporting and service improvements.
