THE ROLE

You will join our Serious Injury team, managing your own caseload while supporting colleagues to deliver excellent outcomes for clients with complex personal injury claims.

  • Manage a caseload of serious injury matters from initial instruction through to settlement or trial
  • Deliver clear, practical, high-quality legal advice and maintain exceptional client care throughout the lifecycle of each claim
  • Prepare legal documentation, including statements, schedules of loss, and court bundles
  • Liaise with counsel, experts, and other stakeholders to progress claims effectively
  • Ensure files are handled in line with compliance, risk management, and client service standards
  • Meet financial and time targets set by the department
  • Take a proactive, organised approach to case management and prioritise competing deadlines effectively
  • Work collaboratively within a high-performing team, supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge
  • Support colleagues within the team and provide cover when required
  • Contribute to business development and team growth initiatives, including building relationships and supporting the team’s external profile

This is a hybrid role, based at our Doncaster office for 2 days per week.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Solicitor/CILEX or equivalent experience (Serious Injury)
  • Experience within a personal injury or serious injury environment (including multi-track litigation)
  • Ability to manage your own caseload with minimal supervision and take ownership of files from instruction through to conclusion
  • Strong understanding of civil procedure and litigation processes
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines effectively
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to client care with empathy, compassion, and the ability to support vulnerable clients
  • Ability to work to deadlines and achieve performance targets
  • Good IT skills and a methodical approach to file management
  • A genuine passion for serious injury law and commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients
  • Experience handling complex or high-value serious injury claims
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies or accreditation schemes (e.g. APIL, Law Society panels)
  • An interest in business development and contributing to the growth and profile of a specialist team
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of case value, costs, and litigation strategy
