Integrated Control Centre Manager
Location: Birmingham Airport with some travel
Reports to: Director of Fleet UK&I
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday with some out of hours work, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Role Overview
Reporting into Swissport UK&I’s Director of Fleet, the Integrated Control Centre (ICC) Manager is responsible for managing ICC 24/7 operations, ensuring the effective monitoring and management of telematics and safety camera outputs for approximately 2,000 Ground Support Equipment (GSE) vehicles to support Swissport UK&I’s operations. The role involves ensuring compliance with operational safety standards, coordinating incident investigations and developing and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the ICC 24/7 operation, including all staff
- Liaise with senior management to provide regular reports on incidents; identifying trends and working with key operational stakeholders to agree and implement mitigating actions.
- Manage the analysis, monitoring and reporting of telematics data and safety camera footage to identify operational and safety issues and drive improved operational performance
- Coordinate with Swissport operations, safety teams, maintenance teams and third parties in the investigation and reporting of incidents.
- Develop and implement response protocols for aircraft damage, GSE damage, driver behaviour and other safety issues
- Ensure compliance with Swissport UK&I and regulatory safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in the ICC and wider Swissport operations through technology and process optimisation
- Manage staffing levels, shift planning, team performance and development
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong operational leadership and management experience, preferably in an operational control centre or similar environment.Proven ability to assimilate, analyse and interpret data to make informed operational decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to operate effectively at all levels within the organisation.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making under pressure.
- Experience in aviation, logistics, or transport industries (desirable)
- An understanding of telematics systems and safety monitoring technologies (desirable).
