The role is based at Swissport Cargo Stansted Airport. You will be the first point of contact in the reception area for all visitors to the Swissport Cargo station at Stansted Airport and play an important role in maintaining organisation. You will deal with all requests in a professional and efficient manner and deliver an exceptional experience for all visitors while providing effective local administrative support. The position is full-time (18:45 to 06:00 β 4 shifts on / 4 shifts off).
Responsibilities
- Dealing with customers, both face to face and on the phone
- Cash invoicing
- Data entry into Excel spreadsheets & internal systems
- Processing documents for deliveries and collection
- Greeting clients and visitors, sorting post, filing etc.
- Comply with all relevant legislation as well as airport authority and carrier security requirements
- Comply with Swissport Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Operate any necessary machinery
Qualifications
- Ability to speak and understand the English language
- Flexible to work a variety of shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays)
- Ability to travel to the airport at times where public transport is not available
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Must be IT literate and able to learn airline-specific computer systems
- Ability to follow processes and procedures and apply a flexible approach when required
- Willingness to work in inclement weather if required
- Able to demonstrate good customer service
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Previous experience working in an aviation environment is desirable
