The Transformation Director UK&I is looking for a Business Project Manager with proven experience in the delivery of change within the aviation sector to join the existing team.
Reporting into T ransformation Director UK&I , you will be accountable for leading and successfully implementing key business projects as part of the agreed transformation portfolio. The projects will impact all aspects of the business underpinning our commitment to service excellence and operational efficiency. The role requires flexibility and may require frequent travel.

Responsibilities
The following responsibilities are associated with this job role:
- Project lead and “end to end” management for various business projects within Swissport
- Ensure and formally agree project scope and target outcomes; develop and manage detailed plan for delivery and implementation to agreed cost, quality, and time parameters
- Engagement and coordination with internal stakeholders, customer airline teams, airport authorities, regulatory bodies, suppliers, and other partners throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead projects that may involve full operational start-up of new airline contracts, including route readiness, staffing, equipment provisioning, systems integration, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure compliance to Swissport policies and standards
- Self-starter, able to operate with minimum supervision; structured, logical, with a strong attention to detail, and a sense of urgency
- Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills, proven ability to operate effectively at and across all organisational levels
- Excellent planning, problem solving and facilitation skills
- Ability to confidently manage multiple concurrent and often conflicting priorities
- Enthusiastic, independent, able to express self, ideas and supporting arguments in a professional and articulate manner
- Flexibility to travel where project requires
Qualifications
- Aviation (airline/airport/ground handler) experience is necessary – preferably with a strong bias towards Operational delivery
- Knowledge and experience of telematics is advantageous but not requisite
- Strong business acumen
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment while always maintaining the highest level of integrity
- A proven team player with the ability to build consensus with diverse stakeholders and third parties and form strong collaborative working relationships with internal clients.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent relevant experience
- PM certification (e.g. PRINCE2) preferred, but not pre-requisite
- Fluent written and spoken English, any additional language may be beneficial but is not pre-requisite
- Proven experience in airline or aviation start-ups, launches, or major operational transitions, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory, operational, and commercial readiness requirements.
- Competent in Microsoft Office Package with skilled user of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project. Microsoft Office 365 is desirable.
