Contract Type: Part Time, Fixed Term up until 31st October 2025

Interviews to be held on either 2nd or 3rd June, with a start date for the 9th June 2025.

Hours: 16 hours per week, between Monday – Sunday (shift work) You must be fully flexible as you would not be able to pick and choose shifts.

Rosters are issued 28days in advance.

You must have a UK Manual Driving Licence for this role.

Pay: £12.41 per hour,

About the Role:

As a Bag Hall Agent with Swissport, you will be responsible for handling and processing baggage in a timely and efficient manner to facilitate smooth operations within the airport environment

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, sort, and load baggage onto conveyor belts and handling equipment for transportation to aircraft or storage areas.
• Utilise automated baggage handling systems and equipment to track, scan, and transfer luggage to designated flights or destinations.
• Ensure compliance with airline and airport security procedures and regulations while handling and processing baggage.
• Coordinate with airline representatives, ground crews, and other stakeholders to prioritise baggage handling and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, organisation, and safety of the bag hall area, including conveyor belts, sorting stations, and storage facilities.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to supervisors and follow established protocols for troubleshooting and resolution.
• Assist passengers with lost or delayed baggage inquiries, providing support and guidance in locating and retrieving their belongings.
• Adhere to Swissport’s standards of service excellence, professionalism, and teamwork in all interactions and tasks.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in baggage handling, logistics, warehouse operations, or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines and priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with colleagues, supervisors, and external stakeholders.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational requirements.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift, carry, and manoeuvre heavy baggage and cargo items as needed.
• Must possess a valid FULL UK MANUAL driver\’s license and be able to pass a background check
