Aircraft Cleaning Supervisor (Nights Only)
East Midlands Airport
Contract: Permanent
Pay: £14.41 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Must be fully flexible and able to work a varied shift pattern (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays).
Must have previous cleaning experience.

You will support and deputise for the Duty Manager / Station Manager to manage the daily cleaning operations at the airport, ensuring customer requirements are met and exceeded within budget. Maintaining high standards through close customer contact and team management is essential. Health and Safety policies, Ramp Awareness, Training, and Operational Excellence are key aspects of this role.
Responsibilities
- Deputise for the Duty Manager / Station Manager as required.
- Supervise the daily operations at your airport.
- Review operational performance, staffing, and structure daily, reporting issues to the Duty Manager / Station Manager.
- Maintain regular customer contact locally, ensuring issues are addressed proactively, referring to management when necessary.
- Liaise with the management team on operational delays, incidents, and additional work.
- Complete relevant administration duties as required by Head Office.
- Support, supervise, and develop staff, identifying training needs and conducting training as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with ISO Quality Standards and all relevant legislation and security requirements.
- Follow Swissport Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain high standards of safety and security at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies
- Minimum of 2 years staff supervision experience.
- Proven experience in cleaning, aviation, ground handling, or similar industry.
- Knowledge of aviation operations and relevant operational skills.
- Good communication, man management, and customer service skills.
- Ability to control stock and work under pressure, using initiative.
- Physical fitness to work in confined spaces and lift heavy weights.
- Meet security requirements to CRC / CTC levels.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to travel to the airport, sometimes without public transport.
- Ability to follow processes, procedures, and adapt flexibly.
- Willingness to work in inclement weather and in manual environments.
- Teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Full driving license with two years\’ experience and ability to pass airport driving tests.
- Previous aviation experience is desirable.
