About the Role: As a Lounge Host, you will report to the Team Leader and be a key cross‑functional member of the team, ensuring guest expectations are met and exceeded so they leave our lounges feeling welcome, relaxed, and energized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reception – offer a warm, friendly welcome, efficient check‑in, and set the scene for guests’ re‑energising experience.
- Answer questions efficiently and direct guests to the most applicable area of the lounge.
- Manage capacity at peak times to maximise throughput.
- Bid farewell to guests on departure to optimise the chance of return.
- Food and Beverage – work as a team to keep offerings available and well presented.
- Ensure food self‑service and bar areas are professional and clean.
- Prepare food in line with sessional menu guide, including meat, vegetarian and vegan options.
- Engage with guests while serving alcoholic and non‑alcoholic drinks.
- Guide guests to food and drink options, including dietary and allergen information.
- Replenish stock levels when required.
- General Host – clear and clean tables when guests vacate.
- Maintain high levels of organisation and cleanliness throughout the lounge.
- Respond to guest questions or comments using high levels of customer service.
- Back of house duties – assist with stock delivery and rotation, waste services following recycling procedures, loading/unloading the dishwasher, restocking cleaned crockery and dishes, maintaining hygiene.
Ad hoc reasonable requests by local leadership will form part of your role. The list above is not exhaustive and may vary depending on location and local customer requirements.
Qualifications:
- Background in hospitality or customer services with frequent customer interaction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good numerical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Computer literate, including use of payment machines and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work as part of a team or self‑motivated to complete tasks.
- Ability to follow processes and procedures and apply flexibility when required.
- Additional languages desirable.
- Flexible to work shifts covering 03:30–21:00, 7 days a week.
