Overview
The Cargo Compliance Manager will assist our London Heathrow Cargo team in our aim to exceed the expectations of our customers and ensure compliance for all governing bodies.
Responsibilities
- Security
- Communicate with all staff actively to promote security awareness.
- Liaise with Cargo Manager and UK Security Manager to ensure all current and future in-house and statutory security requirements are fulfilled.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies regarding security.
- Attend security meetings/workshops as required.
- Ensure a monthly on-site security audit and security meeting is carried out and a programme is in place to correct any failures.
- Ensure all security awareness training is carried out within the timeframe given.
- Responsible for access control for the site.
- Quality
- Management of the Quality procedures and document controls.
- Liaison with the UK Quality Manager to ensure all current and future internal or Quality requirements are fulfilled.
- Conduct audits at other sites/locations including PAT testing as required.
- Agree the annual audit timetable with the Quality Manager and ensure London Heathrow Cargo is well prepared for such audits.
- Actively participate in Customer station audits.
- Follow up and rectify NCNs and observations resulting from such audits.
- Liaise and monitor the performance of the document control process.
- Will liaise with governing bodies and conduct Audits and checks to ensure compliance for WDA/GDP approvals.
Qualifications
- Deliver a range of training courses to company and industry standard.
- Ensure a program is in place and continually reviewed to enable LHR Cargo to satisfy all statutory and in-house training requirements.
- Liaise with UK Cargo Training Manager and on-line trainers to ensure sufficient trainers are available to complete the program.
- Highly motivated individual committed to ensuring their areas of responsibility are met at all times.
- Excellent operational knowledge of Cargo and Ramp activities and procedures.
- Good working knowledge of Cargospot and its associated systems.
- Knowledge of Safety Management System (SMS) and the Security Management System (SeMS).
- Flexible approach to working hours essential for support functions both on and off station as and when required.
