We are now seeking an experienced and forward‑thinking Station Manager to lead our Glasgow operation and drive excellence across all service lines. This is a key leadership role responsible for shaping the station’s strategic direction, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and fostering strong relationships with our people, customers and partners. Responsibilities
- Drive the strategic direction of the station, delivering clear mid‑ and long‑term business objectives.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, service quality and alignment with corporate goals.
- Monitor performance to increase profitability, productivity and market share.
Financial & Commercial Accountability
- Lead the preparation of budgets, capital expenditure proposals and investment plans.
- Manage full P&L responsibility and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Track financial performance and ensure all records and accounts are maintained to the highest standard.
Safety, Security & Compliance
- Hold ultimate responsibility for safety, environmental and security decisions at station level.
- Ensure full compliance with the Swissport Management System, QHSE standards and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Oversee safety and security KPIs, risk assessments, audits and corrective actions.
- Chair the monthly Safety Action Group and provide safety updates to Cluster and Global QHSE leadership.
- Maintain robust crisis management and business continuity procedures through regular training and testing.
People Leadership
- Lead, guide and develop operational teams to deliver safe, compliant and high‑quality services.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Ensure employee participation in health and safety matters.
- Appoint and support a competent deputy to act on your behalf during periods of absence.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong, professional relationships with airline customers, airport authorities, customs, immigration and other key partners.
- Ensure service delivery meets customer expectations and contractual requirements.
- Represent Swissport with professionalism and integrity at all times.
Key Performance Indicators

Qualifications
- Excellent working knowledge of business management principles and practices, financial concepts, and key drivers of profitability and operational performance delivery.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role with significant P&L accountability and leadership of large teams.
