About the Role:

As a Bag Hall Agent with Swissport, you will be responsible for handling and processing baggage in a timely and efficient manner to facilitate smooth operations within the airport environment.

ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:

Receive, sort, and load baggage onto conveyor belts and handling equipment for transportation to aircraft or storage areas.

Utilise automated baggage handling systems and equipment to track, scan, and transfer luggage to designated flights or destinations.

Ensure compliance with airline and airport security procedures and regulations while handling and processing baggage.

Coordinate with airline representatives, ground crews, and other stakeholders to prioritise baggage handling and resolve any issues or discrepancies.

Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, organisation, and safety of the bag hall area, including conveyor belts, sorting stations, and storage facilities.

Report any equipment malfunctions, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to supervisors and follow established protocols for troubleshooting and resolution.

Assist passengers with lost or delayed baggage inquiries, providing support and guidance in locating and retrieving their belongings.

Adhere to Swissport\'s standards of service excellence, professionalism, and teamwork in all interactions and tasks.

QualificationsQualifications:

Previous experience in baggage handling, logistics, warehouse operations, or a similar role is preferred.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines and priorities.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with colleagues, supervisors, and external stakeholders.

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational requirements.

Physical stamina and the ability to lift, carry, and manoeuvre heavy baggage and cargo items as needed.

Must possess a valid FULL UK MANUAL driver\'s license and be able to pass a background check
