Swissport Western Europe are looking for enthusiastic team members to join our Cargo Operation on a Part-time Permanent Basis in Belfast. You will be providing clerical support to the cargo function, including supporting and organising customs clearance, cash invoicing, and basic reception duties.
Hourly Pay:
- £13.55
- £13.85 after 6 month probation
- £14.25 after a year
You can choose to work from one of the shifts below, working Monday to Friday. On rare occasions, we may need someone to finish at 8:30 PM:
- Shift 1: 25 hours per week, 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Shift 2: 20 hours per week, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Basic Customs Clearance Process
- Cash Invoicing
- Quickly & accurately processing the documentation of cargo to be transported, ensuring every piece of freight gets to the correct destination on time
- Accepting Dangerous goods
- Reception duties including greeting clients and visitors, answering telephone queries, sorting post, filing, etc.
- Comply with all relevant legislation as well as airport authority and carrier security requirements
- Comply with Swissport Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Emailing & closing off end of day business
Qualifications:
- Available from 16:00 PM - 20:00 PM Monday to Friday
- Ability to speak and understand the English language
- Ability to travel to the airport at times when public transport is not available
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Must be IT literate and able to learn airline specific computer systems
- Ability to follow processes and procedures and apply a flexible approach when required
- Willingness to work in inclement weather if required
- Able to demonstrate good customer service
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
