Swisslog are currently seeking a Controls Service Engineer based in the Midlands. The position can be home based with travel to customer sites as required. Our head office in the UK is based in Redditch.

As a Controls Service Engineer for fully automated intralogistics systems, you will play a key role in operations. Your main tasks include:

  • On-call services, where you will intervene quickly and efficiently in the event of malfunctions.
  • Providing remote 2nd- and 3rd-level support to ensure the systems operate smoothly.
  • Independently managing smaller projects, leveraging your comprehensive technical expertise.
  • Demonstrating your specialist knowledge during the retrofitting and modernization of existing systems, ensuring our technologies remain up-to-date.
  • Creating detailed documentation and actively sharing your knowledge with the team to support your colleagues.

With travel up to 20%, you are flexibly on the move to assist on-site with customer issues or support project implementation as needed.

You should ideally have a degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or mechatronics, or a comparable qualification such as an HND/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

You have solid experience in PLC programming, especially with TIA, S7, or Beckhoff TwinCat2/3. You are capable of reading electrical schematics and have practical experience in troubleshooting electrical and control technologies. Application knowledge of industrial warehouse systems would be a distinct advantage.

Able to travel to customer sites when required.
