We are currently seeking a Finance Assistant based in Redditch with hybrid working available, on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Your Responsibility
The Finance Assistant will be placed within the finance team of a growing logistics automation business. The successful candidate will attain strong skills and knowledge regarding accountancy, mathematics, statistics and economics. The role will be mixed and will involve assisting qualified and non-qualified finance professionals across the range of functions performed by the finance department as follows:
- Purchase Ledger: You will assist with processing supplier invoices, reconciling supplier accounts and liaising with suppliers to ensure timely payment of their invoices.
- Sales Ledger/Credit Control: You will assist with the preparation of sales invoices to customers and the daily reconciliation of the company’s bank accounts.
- Management Accounts: You will assist our management accountants in the preparation of reports circulated to internal management to assist their decision making.
Your Profile
This is a hands-on role and an excellent opportunity to gain insight and experience in a wide range of finance functions. You will play an important role in a small finance team and will gain valuable exposure to different areas of the business. We are looking for a hard-working individual who is looking for a challenging but rewarding role. You should be proactive, able to problem solve effectively and able to use your own initiative to thrive in a dynamic working environment. It would be advantageous if you have achieved or are studying towards your AAT and have proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Applicants must communicate openly, effectively and consistently with all stakeholder groups and focus on customer needs and customer satisfaction. A driving license will be required unless you live in close proximity to Redditch.
