We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager for the UK. Our head office is based in Redditch; this role can be remote with travel to the customer sites and the office when required.
The position holder is responsible for developing new opportunities and for selling solutions for a specific product – market combinations. Once the lead has been identified, the Business Development Manager works together with the Head of Sales in order to qualify opportunities.
- Contact, influence and convince customers and actively build long term relationships.
- Able to judge whether leads fit with the customer profile that is ideal for Swisslog to serve by effectively analyzing existing and potential customer needs.
- Initiate market research and competitor analysis.
- Maintain and grow your network within the material handling and logistics industry.
- Promote Swisslog's capabilities to secure sales opportunities.
- Prepare and hold professional presentations using PowerPoint.

- Proven track record in business development in the logistics / intralogistics business environment.
- Experience of business development and strong network within supply chain / intralogistics.
- Understanding industry specific business processes, drivers and issues to be addressed during the sales cycle.
