As a member of the Culture & Performance team at Swiss Re, you will contribute to the design, delivery and continuous improvement of our enterprise-wide performance management framework. This is a high-impact role where you will help embed a culture of accountability, meaningful feedback and differentiated performance — ensuring that goal-setting, performance, development, reward and progression are connected in a practical and future-fit way. You will help translate strategic priorities into clear processes, tools, guidance and insights that enable leaders and employees to have better performance conversations and make more informed people decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and evolve Swiss Re's enterprise-wide performance management framework, ensuring it remains practical, scalable and aligned to company values.
- Deliver key performance management processes, including goal-setting, continuous feedback, check-ins, year-end performance reviews, calibration and performance differentiation.
- Connect performance management with development, reward, progression and talent processes to support a coherent and integrated talent ecosystem.
- Develop high-quality tools, guidance, templates, communication materials and enablement content for leaders, employees and HR colleagues.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and other Talent & Culture teams to support effective adoption of performance practices across businesses and geographies.
- Use data and insights to monitor process effectiveness, identify trends, highlight risks and recommend improvements to the performance management approach.
- Support large-scale performance management initiatives and change activities, helping to translate strategy into clear actions, timelines and deliverables.
- Contribute to stakeholder engagement, workshops, working sessions and feedback loops to ensure the performance framework meets business and employee needs.
- Collaborate closely with Reward, Talent, People Analytics, HR Technology and Communications to ensure strong alignment across related processes and systems.
- Monitor external trends and good practices in performance management, feedback, calibration and performance differentiation, bringing fresh thinking into the team.

This role sits within the Culture & Performance team, part of the wider Talent & Culture unit within the Group People Function — a team with a clear mandate to champion a client-centric performance culture across Swiss Re globally. The team owns the design and continuous evolution of Swiss Re's performance management framework and related culture practices, ensuring that goal-setting, feedback, performance, development, reward and progression are meaningfully connected within a coherent talent ecosystem. The team drives change through clear expectations, impactful feedback practices, fair performance differentiation and data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with colleagues across Talent & Culture, People Function Business Partners, Reward, People Analytics and business stakeholders worldwide. As a member of this team, you will play an important role in shaping and delivering practical solutions that help leaders and employees perform, grow and contribute to Swiss Re's success — at scale and with real impact.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who Meet These Requirements
- Experience in performance management, talent management, organisational development, HR transformation or a related HR centre of expertise.
- Good understanding of performance management practices, including goal-setting, feedback, check-ins, performance reviews, calibration and performance differentiation.
- Experience supporting the design and implementation of HR processes, tools, frameworks or change initiatives in a complex, global organisation.
- Familiarity with HR technology platforms and performance management tools, such as SAP SuccessFactors.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with HR data, identify patterns and translate insights into practical recommendations.
- Strong project management and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables, timelines and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging and user-friendly materials for diverse audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across HR, business functions and geographies.
- High attention to detail and a practical mindset, with the ability to balance strategic intent with operational delivery.

In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus. For London, the base salary range for this position is between GBP 74,000 and GBP 110,000 for a full-time role. Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
