As an Insurance Contracts Specialist, you will be at the intersection of contractual precision and insurance expertise, ensuring our contracts are robust, compliant, and aligned with the UK business unit goals. You will collaborate with underwriters and stakeholders to develop tailored solutions that protect our interests while meeting client needs.
Key Responsibilities- Draft and develop UK Swiss Re Corporate Solutions (CorSo) forms, ad hoc clauses and wordings with precision and accuracy.
- Review and analyze third party manuscript wordings to identify risks and breach of internal guidelines.
- Collaborate with Underwriters and internal stakeholders on complex wording topics.
- Conduct audits through comprehensive contracts reviews to ensure compliance and quality.
- Monitor market developments to proactively ringfence contracts and identify emerging trends.
- Analyse competitors' wordings to gain insights into prevailing market standards and enhance understanding of the operational practices within the UK market.
- Deliver training and awareness sessions to enhance stakeholder knowledge of policy wordings and contracts principles.
- Provide expert guidance on contractual matters to support business goals and risk management.
The EMEA Contracts & Wording team is responsible for drafting large‐risk insurance policy wordings and clauses, reviewing third‐party wordings, and providing expert consultation on contractual matters. We work closely with underwriters to ensure robust contract development while monitoring market trends to protect the company's interests. Our team also delivers specialized training to enhance organizational understanding of insurance contract principles.

- Track record of building strong relationships with underwriters and functioning as an integrated team member.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and negotiate contract changes effectively.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively.
- Insurance education or Legal qualification.
- Experience working in international insurance markets.
- Knowledge of multiple lines of business beyond Casualty and FinPro.
- Proficiency in additional European languages.
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
For London, the annual base salary range for this position is between GBP 100,000 and GBP 150,000 for a full‐time role. The specific salary offered will consider the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, as well as the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience. In addition to the base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance‐based variable compensation component designed to recognise achievements, along with a variety of global and location‐specific benefits.
