As a Data & Process Specialist, you will be playing a key role in shaping and strengthening the L&H business architecture. This role has a strong focus on enabling end-to-end clarity, consistency, and measurable business impact. You will contribute to building a robust architectural foundation for how we manage value journeys and processes, govern decision-making, and leverage data to deliver L&H business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the implementation, application and continuous enhancement of operating and governance frameworks across data, process and broader business architecture, ensuring alignment with the L&H business and operating vision and translating concepts into practical outcomes.
- Ensure close alignment across architectural principles to embed a robust business architecture within end-to-end L&H operations.
- Contribute to various business architecture artifacts, including capability maps, value journeys, operating model views and ownership structures.
- Partner closely with L&H business stakeholders and IT to strengthen ownership and accountability - contribute to definition of ownership across capabilities, processes, data, and metrics by gathering inputs, mapping responsibilities, and highlighting inconsistencies to ensure effective applications.
- Lead selective data initiatives such as the data issue workstream, data quality monitoring capabilities enhancement, robust access rights management, and training and awareness campaigns to promote data governance frameworks.
- Establish and uphold capability and process management disciplines, including value journey prioritisation, process mapping, modelling and analysis as well as standardised documentation practices and standards.
- Analyse end-to-end value journeys to identify gaps in processes, data, ownership, and handoffs and document insights to support decision-making and prioritisation.

Requirements
- Strong expertise in business architecture, data and/or process management with experience in developing business architecture frameworks or artifacts (e.g. capability maps, value streams/value journeys, operating and ownership models).
- Background in Life & Health (re)-insurance preferred.
- Able to connect process, data and metric insights across architectural frameworks with a structured and end-to-end mindset.
- Ability to translate and implement architectural practices in line with business needs and impact.
- Proven ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and IT, building strong relationships and support alignment.
- Experience in project management and change management a plus.
- Work effectively in an evolving environment where roles, frameworks, and priorities are still being shaped.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn across multiple domains (process, data, governance) and build a holistic understanding of how L&H operates.
Compensation & Work Model
For London, the base salary range for this position is between GBP 55,000 and GBP 83,000 for a full-time role. The specific salary offered considers the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, as well as the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience. In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits. Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract. Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
