About the Role
As part of our Global Executive Risks (D&O) actuarial pricing team, you'll leverage cutting-edge data-driven techniques to execute portfolio goals. Your technical actuarial expertise and business acumen will enable you to effectively communicate analytical findings to global partners, directly influencing portfolio profitability and contributing to our Business Unit's overall performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of quarterly profitability reviews that provide portfolio steering insights and underwriting recommendations to our FinPro underwriting leaders.
- Analyse portfolios by examining diverse data sources and performing statistical analysis to derive meaningful insights.
- Communicate results to wider partners including Portfolio Managers, Reserving Actuaries, and Finance departments.
- Execute actuarial rate reviews to update costing parameters of in-house Swiss Re developed models.
- Develop and enhance actuarial models through dedicated project work.
- Coordinate the rate monitoring process produced by the rating models and ensure feedback loops back to our profitability and planning analysis.
About the Team
We are an actuarial team providing support to global Executive Risks (D&O). Key responsibilities for our team include loss ratio projections, rating plan development, model calibration and actuarial pricing support. We work closely with our business partners and encourage technical innovation that supports traditional methods. Our team comprises qualified and student Actuaries who are an integral part of Swiss Re CorSo. We are part of the Underwriting Unit and report to the Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO).

- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Mathematics.
- Progression through Actuarial exams.

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
For London, the annual base salary range for this position is between GBP 40,000 and GBP 60,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers: the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience. In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits. Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.
