As an International Program Underwriting Analyst, you'll act as the central link connecting our UK market with our worldwide network. You'll collaborate with underwriters, global teams, brokers, and clients to ensure flawless program implementation and outstanding service delivery across multiple insurance lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive International Program implementation from end-to-end, ensuring quality, consistency, and excellent service across international insurance programs.
  • Coordinate crucial processes including Pre-Quote/Pre-Bind activities, service exceptions, and endorsement issuance between Producing Offices and Local Offices/Network Partners.
  • Prepare precise instructions for the International Program Service Unit, Credit Control, Reinsurance, and local offices in a timely manner.
  • Monitor performance metrics to identify bottlenecks, maintain service levels, and ensure operational excellence.
  • Maintain data integrity across systems and tools with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Develop expertise in processes, systems, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate effectively with Underwriters, Customer & Distribution Managers, support teams, and functional partners.
  • Provide technical guidance on international program processes, compliance requirements, and system usage.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders across the global network.
  • Support underwriting activities including preliminary deal analysis, program documentation, and policy issuance coordination.
  • Contribute to projects and initiatives that enhance our operational capabilities.

About You

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
  • 2-4 years' experience in International Insurance Program Business or relevant insurance/underwriting support roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and a quality-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
These are additional nice to haves:
  • Knowledge of Property, Casualty, FinPro, Energy or Real Estate lines of business.
  • Experience working in a global matrix organization.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.

For London, the annual base salary range for this position is between GBP 48,000 and GBP 72,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience. In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits. Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.
