Swiss Finance is offering an on-site Investment Banking Internship in London focused on institutional sales, capital introduction, and investor engagement for private placement of debt, equity and hedge fund LP stakes. This role reflects the institutional sales side of investment banking, involving outreach to investors, allocator research, and early-stage bookbuilding-style workflows.

This opportunity is structured as a selective institute-based professional training programme offered by Britannica Capital Institute and Swiss Finance Institute, providing exposure comparable to elite internships in an educational (non-employment) context, and leveraging decades of institutional training frameworks developed through Swiss Finance Academy. This internship is unpaid, following European practical training norms, with substantial real investment banking experience.

About the Role

You will support the institutional sales function within Swiss Finance. Your work will focus on sourcing and engaging allocators, conducting outreach, and supporting capital introduction and bookbuilding-style activities for our clients and affiliates.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Calling investors, gathering investor information, researching family offices and institutions, supporting early-stage sales structuring, and assisting in investor communication workflows.

  • Research qualified investors across the UK, Switzerland, Europe, US, Hong Kong and globally
  • Assist in identifying accredited and sophisticated investors
  • Maintain structured call logs, CRM entries, and pipeline trackers
  • Support investor meeting preparation and follow-up
  • Assist in preparing sales materials and capital markets content
  • Gather allocator intelligence through phone research
  • Participate in institutional sales discussions and internal briefings
  • Support the capital raising workflow for affiliate and client funds

  • Are studying or have already studied sales, marketing, finance, economics, business, or related fields
  • Are interested in asset management, capital raising, investment banking, hedge funds, institutional sales, or capital markets
  • Are confident speaking professionally on the phone
  • Are proactive, persistent, and comfortable with structured outreach
  • Enjoy the sales, markets, and investor-facing side of investment banking
  • Are able to work on-site in London
  • Are comfortable (and even excited) with an unpaid internship in exchange for our brand and high-value exposure; willing to commit and dedicate several months to learn and prove yourself
