Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers.
- Research suppliers and products and identify potential suppliers based on project requirements.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and deadlines with vendors and suppliers.
- Monitor and update relevant departments regarding price fluctuations of goods and vendor pricing.
- Manage an efficient flow of goods to ensure optimum production.
- Maintain supplier database, product specification sheet, buying template, stock master preparation, and update tracker.
- Review balance orders, study averages, and price comparison - imports.
- Work closely with the accounts department to ensure contract terms are favorable to the company.
- Attend meetings with the design team, management, vendors, and suppliers.
- Manage, coach, and develop high-performing purchasing and cost estimating teams that meet agreed objectives and which deliver best practice results, added value, and continuous improvements.
- Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
- Catalogue and supplier artwork checks.

- Extensive experience working in the procurement department in a related field.
- Relevant qualification will be an advantage.
