A well-established and fast-growing manufacturing business based on the Wrexham Industrial Estate is looking for a Maintenance Engineering Technician to join its multi-skilled engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern, highly automated production environment where engineering plays a critical role in keeping the factory running efficiently, safely and at high performance.

You will be working in a fast-paced packing operation, supporting production through proactive maintenance, fault-finding, continuous improvement and the introduction of new equipment and processes.

The Role:
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
  • Supporting production teams to improve line efficiency and equipment set-up
  • Minimising downtime through fast, effective fault finding
  • Supporting the installation and commissioning of new machinery
  • Completing maintenance records and shift handovers
  • Driving continuous improvement and LEAN projects
  • Implementing engineering improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Managing and maintaining spare parts stock
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards
Essential Experience:
  • At least 3 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-Skilled Engineering
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Able to work under pressure and manage workload effectively
  • High level of attention to detail
Desirable:
  • Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
